As a professionally qualified psychotherapist and counsellor based in Surbiton, near Kingston Upon Thames, London, I use several theoretical approaches such as psychodynamic, person-centred, existential and phenomenology. I work from my home, providing a safe, comfortable, confidential and non-judgemental environment. Initially, I offer a 60 minutes assessment session where we meet to explore how we can work together and for you to decide if you would like to commit to counselling. After the initial meeting we can decide to work on an open ended basis, or for an agreed period of time for 50 minute sessions.

When emotional storms overwhelm us, it can feel as though our life has been uprooted. Our thoughts concerning who we were, who we are and who we hope to be are uncertain. Such emotional difficulties may be experienced as an intense sense of dread, sorrow, fright, guilt, shame, anger, anxiety, despair or futility in life. I aim to help clients explore these threatening experiences by tuning into the rich blend of feelings and bodily felt sensations. These 'lived experiences' will be looked at in terms of past and present encounters to illuminate how and why such feelings have taken hold. I encourage clients to overcome their emotional hurdles within a safe and supportive environment and in this way move towards a more authentic and contented way of being.

My private practice is 15 minutes walk from Surbiton and Tolworth stations. Bus routes 281, 406, 418, 265 are all within 5 minutes walk as well as free street parking.

Check Transport for London or Google Maps for how to get here.
